Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on light, medium, and heavy trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and document work, often serving as lead on jobsites and coordinating with customers.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED with 3 years in a related field (or 5 years), 3+ years with refrigerated equipment, and valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience, or varying combinations incl. 5 years’ related field experience.
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and valid DOT medical card requirements.
• Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT Inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on RO using company devices.
