Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, diesel and hydraulic systems, road-test vehicles, and manage parts on a company truck.

You must have a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in related field (or 5 years), DOT compliance, and ASE certifications preferred. Travel and safety responsibilities are part of the role.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required; 3+ years in related field or 5 years in related field.
ASE certifications preferred (PMI, T8, etc).
DOT/FMCSA compliance knowledge and safety training required.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
Inspect and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
Manage parts on the service truck and document work in RO using TRAIT app.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
