Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced mechanical diagnostics in a mobile/field environment. Leads on jobsites, triages repairs, and maintains service trucks and documentation with TRAIT app.

Requirements include HS Diploma or GED with 5+ years related experience, ASE T8 and 608/609 within 18 months, and DOT compliance. Competitive hourly pay and extensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related experience; multiple paths acceptable
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• 608/609 certification within 18 months
• DOT/FMVSA regulatory compliance and medical/card requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on mobile/field fleet vehicles
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems and engine components
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to verify repairs
• Manage parts on service truck and document work on RO with TRAIT app
• Maintain safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and updates
