Cox is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will handle electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems, document findings on RO, and work with vendors to source parts.

The role requires HS diploma/GED with several years of related experience and ASE certifications to be obtained within 18 months. Expect a dynamic field schedule and safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 5 years’ related experience or alternative qualification with fewer years.
• ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 certifications to be obtained within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required before employment.
• DOT medical card must be current with >4 months remaining or renewal in 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM inspections, DOT inspections and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Maintain and operate service truck and upload RO findings via TRAIT app.
• Obtain parts from vendors and communicate repair estimates with management.
