Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs in a mobile field setting.

Lead on jobsites, diagnose diagnostics, and ensure adherence to DOT and company standards while communicating with customers. The role requires a HS diploma/GED with 3 years related experience or 5 years in a related field; ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years related experience or 5 years related field accepted.
• At least 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment or similar heavy duty systems.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE certifications are preferred; DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test and diagnose using handheld test tools and diagnostics.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on RO using TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals and estimates.
• Adhere to safety, DOT, EPA and company policies; complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
