Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting.

You will lead on jobsites, diagnose complex issues, and consult with customers while ensuring safety and reliability. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, the ability to manage a schedule, and proactive communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections and PM inspections performed in mobile fleets.
• Advanced diagnostics and repair on light to heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
• Lead on jobsites, act as consultant for customers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on trucks in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems on diesel vehicles.
• Triage repairs, order parts, and document work on Repair Orders via TRAIT app.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain company service vehicle and conduct pre-/post-trip safety checks.
