Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services – a Cox Automotive Company – is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts and paperwork on RO using the TRAIT app, and uphold safety standards. A HS diploma or GED is required; ASE certifications are preferred; travel can be up to 100%.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; DOT and ASE certifications preferred.
• 3+ years related field experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems using diagnostic tools.
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment; road test vehicles after repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document findings on RO via TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety procedures and communicate with customers to manage expectations.
