Job summary

Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role requires strong diagnostic skills and independent work ethic.

Responsibilities include documenting findings in the TRAIT system, managing parts and tools on the service truck, and ensuring safety standards and DOT compliance. Excellent problem-solving and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5 years in related field or equivalent
• DOT regulatory knowledge and ability to pass DOT pre-employment screening
• Experience with DOT/FMCSA requirements preferred
• Must have refrigeration equipment experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field setting
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks
• Document work on RO using TRAIT app and upload photos
• Maintain safety and housekeeping of service truck and tools
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals and parts
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
