Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Wilmington, NC. You will perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in the field, diagnosing a range of electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

You’ll manage parts, document findings via TRAIT on an iOS device, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, and valid DOT credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent combinations considered.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification must be obtained within 18 months.
• Experience with DOT inspections, PMs, and diagnostics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmission, and related systems.
• Manage parts inventory and document work using the TRAIT app and company iOS devices.
• Maintain company vehicle and complete all safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
