Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, test, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems, and document findings via TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires tools, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and DOT compliance; 21+ years old with a valid license. Competitive weekly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; 3 years in related field or 5 years experience.
• Possess and provide a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical readiness.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose, repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect and test equipment with handheld devices and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to confirm proper operation after repairs.
• Maintain service truck and safety checks; manage schedules and parts.
• Document work on RO via TRAIT app and upload photos.
