Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile field environment.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, lead on-site service efforts, and coordinate with customers and management while complying with safety and DOT regulations. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma/GED with related field experience, ASE T8 PMI and 608/609 certifications, and tooling proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience; combination with 5 years' experience also acceptable.
• ASE certifications may be required within 18 months.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT regulations knowledge and successful DOT pre-employment processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and diesel engines.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using appropriate tools and test instruments.
• Maintain and operate company service truck and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document repairs and RO details using TRAIT on iOS device.
