Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on a fleet of trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and provide on-site solutions while documenting work and maintaining tools and equipment.

The role requires thorough knowledge of diesel systems, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• DOT pre-employment screenings and DOT physicals are required.
• Must supply and maintain your own hand tools.
• ASE certifications are preferred.
• Compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT policies is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trucks in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and document work using company systems.
