Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel & Trailer Mechanic to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and advanced repairs in mobile/field settings across nationwide service centers.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems, lead on jobsites, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT and company standards. The role requires HS diploma/GED plus 3–7 years experience, ASE certifications preferred, and tool ownership.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with multiple pathways (3–7 years related field experience).
• At least 3 years of refrigerated equipment experience is preferred.
• Own and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE certifications or OEM training is preferred; ongoing training required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair trailers and trucks, including electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Conduct safety checks, road tests, and document repairs with RO using company devices.
• Interact with clients to assess needs and obtain approvals for estimates and purchases.
