Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on mobile and field vehicles. You will lead on job sites, diagnose complex issues, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

A safety‑driven, detail‑oriented technician is essential for this role. The position requires 5+ years in related field, ASE T8 (PMI) and 608/609 within 18 months, DOT background and medical card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with multiple years of related field experience.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Within 18 months obtain ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair and adjust electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and engines.
• Inspect, test and road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment, coordinate with management for approvals.
• Document work and parts used on RO with photos using TRAIT app and iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety/compliance paperwork.
