Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, road-test vehicles, and manage parts on your service truck while documenting every step in TRAIT.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, adherence to safety policies, and providing excellent client service. ASE certifications and a valid DOT card are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related field experience; or 5 years in the field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems in the field.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment.
• Document work with RO notes and photos using TRAIT/iOS.
