Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. in Pawtucket, RI is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs on fleets in a mobile/field setting.

This role requires practical diesel knowledge, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently on customer sites. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts and tools, and ensure documentation via our TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ASE certifications are preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' related field experience; DOT/FMCSA compliance knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy trucks in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; conduct road tests.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and service vehicle; document RO using iOS and TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and scheduling.
