Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose advanced mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems and serve as a lead on jobsites, coordinating with customers and technicians.

Responsibilities include on-site diagnostics, parts sourcing, safety checks, and documenting findings via the TRAIT app. Prioritize tasks and maintain trucks and tools to company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in field, or 5 years related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment checks may be required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, repair and adjust electrical, hydraulic, braking, cooling, engine and related systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work orders using company tools.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Communicate with customers and obtain approvals for repairs.
