Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You’ll handle light to heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, lead on-site, and act as a consultant for customers while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Key duties include PM inspections, system diagnostics, parts management, and precise documentation on RO using TRAIT.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related field experience or 5 years' related field experience.
• At least 3 years' experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools required; OEM training preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA requirements and DOT medical card considerations.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks.
• Document findings on RO via TRAIT app and maintain service truck readiness.
• Coordinate with management on estimates, approvals, and PO numbers.
