Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and both light and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. This role leads on jobsites, collaborates with customers, and ensures safety and quality standards are met.

The technician will diagnose complex issues, manage parts and documentation using TRAIT, and operate company vehicles with strict adherence to DOT regulations. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in field/mobile environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems across diesel and gas equipment.
• Document findings, parts, and RO details using company TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and inspections.
• Repair and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and updates.
