Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections and PMs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, lead on-site service, and coordinate with customers to meet expectations.

The role requires tool readiness, DOT compliance, and ASE certifications preferred. A company vehicle and equipment are provided for field work with comprehensive safety and training programs.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED with 5 years in related field.
DOT background screening and DOT medical card requirements.
Must supply hand tools for duties.
ASE certifications or training preferred.
Follows DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety training.

Responsibilities

Perform PM and DOT inspections on light–heavy trucks in mobile/field setting.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Lead jobsite activities and coordinate with customers as the on-site consultant.
Document work with RO using TRAIT app on iOS device.
Maintain and safety-check company vehicle and equipment.
