Job summary

Cox Automotive – USA is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and field diagnostics in a mobile environment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service on-site across a mobile fleet.

You will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, manage parts and documentation on RO using TRAIT and an iOS device, and coordinate with customers to ensure timely, quality repairs.

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections required.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Strong diagnostic skills for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Document findings and parts used on Repair Orders via TRAIT on iOS device.
• Coordinate with customers and manage on-site scheduling and parts needs.
• Maintain company vehicle and safety practices per DOT/OSHA standards.
