Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lead Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on a mobile footing. You will lead onsite work, diagnose complex issues, and mentor junior technicians while coordinating with management to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires high-level diagnostic skills, ASE certifications, and the ability to work remotely within the U.S. with 100% travel potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant experience in diesel tech.
• Experience with DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Strong communication skills and client interaction abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work performed with photos and RO entries using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Mentor junior technicians and support management with QA inspections.
