Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, repairs, and diagnostics in a mobile field setting. You will lead on jobsites, communicate with customers, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Requires HS diploma/GED with several years of diesel experience; ASE certifications and DOT readiness preferred. Travel and independent scheduling are involved; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–7 years related field experience is acceptable.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment a plus.
• OEM training and certifications preferred; must pass DOT background and DOT physical if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light–heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Lead on jobsites; communicate with customers and manage parts and RO documentation.
• Maintain and operate service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
