Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services in the United States is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light through heavy-duty trucks in a mobile setting. You will diagnose, test, and repair electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems while coordinating with customers and maintaining documentation.

A valid DOT medical card, clean driving record, and ability to work a flexible, weekend-included schedule are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 3+ years in related field, or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment.
• DOT training or certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy vehicles in a mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and functionality.
• Maintain service truck and document work orders using TRAIT app.
