Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to define the technical direction for the organization and work with high-visibility enterprise teams to develop mobile-focused solutions. You will mentor senior staff, translate prototypes into scalable platforms, and embed best practices in testing, observability, and CI/CD from day one.

You will lead architectural reviews, influence standards, and drive a multi-year strategic roadmap closely aligned with CVS Health's enterprise technology

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on IT experience in systems analysis, design, development and program development.
• 7+ years with Java, Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin.
• 5+ years designing scalable mobile architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• 5+ years managing stakeholder requirements and technical solutions.
• 3+ years CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years establishing engineering standards and mentoring engineers.
• 1+ years AI/ML experience incl. Generative AI/LLMs.
• 1+ years Flutter experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical direction for CVS Health.
• Mentor engineers and translate prototypes into production-grade platforms.
• Embed testing, observability and CI/CD from day one to ensure reliability and security.
• Lead architectural reviews and influence mobile strategy and standards.
