CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define the technical direction and steer enterprise mobile solutions. The role blends hands-on coding with senior leadership, mentoring engineers and shaping architectural standards across multiple teams.

You will drive reliability, security, and performance while embedding testing, observability, and CI/CD from day one, accelerating delivery and nurturing a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on information technology experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
• 7+ years of development in Java, Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin.
• 5+ years of scalable mobile architectures design and long-term technical decisions.
• 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 1+ years of AI/ML technologies and generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical direction, standards, and architecture for the department.
• Lead architectural reviews and influence tool selection and vendor direction.
• Develop strategic multi-year technical roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals.
• Mentor engineers and lead Tech Leads on complex initiatives.
• Advance DevSecOps maturity and shift-left testing and observability.
