Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define the tech direction for mobile and enterprise initiatives. You will work with product, architecture, and engineering leaders to balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability while staying hands-on with critical systems.

You will mentor staff engineers, ensure strong engineering fundamentals, and drive an engineering culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on information technology experience in systems analysis, application design, application development, and application program development.
• 7+ years of development in Java, Swift, Swift UI, and Kotlin.
• 5+ years designing scalable mobile architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• 5+ years managing stakeholder requirements and technical solutions.
• 3+ years CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years setting engineering standards and mentoring engineers.
• 1+ years AI/ML experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• 1+ years Flutter experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical direction for the organization.
• Lead high-visibility enterprise teams to develop and execute Enterprise Solution Strategy for mobile.
• Mentor engineers and translate prototypes into scalable production-grade platforms.
• Establish reliability, security, performance, and operability benchmarks.
• Lead DevSecOps maturity journey and shift-left QA/test automation.
