Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define and drive technical direction for mobile enterprise initiatives, balancing speed and long-term maintainability. You will mentor engineers, ensure reliability, and embed testing, observability, and CI/CD from day one.

You will lead architecture reviews, craft multi-year roadmaps, and guide vendors while collaborating with product, architecture, and engineering leadership to deliver scalable platforms across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on information technology experience in systems analysis, application design, application development, and application program development.
• 7+ years of development experience in Java, Swift, SwiftUI, and Kotlin.
• 5+ years of experience in design and evolve scalable, modular mobile architectures (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• 5+ years of experience in managing stakeholder requirements and technical solutions.
• 3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation.
• 3+ years of experience in setting engineering standards and mentoring senior engineers.
• 1+ years of software development experience with AI technologies, Generative AI, and AI/ML libraries.
• 1+ years of experience with Flutter.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence engineering direction.

Responsibilities

• Architect for clear technical direction and department standards across technologies.
• Lead cross-departmental application architectural solutions and benchmarked technologies.
• Develop long-term technical roadmaps aligned with enterprise strategy and multi-year plans.
• Lead Technical Leads and drive standards through the Specialty Dispensing stack.
• Act as the most senior technical contributor on strategic initiatives and ensure delivery.
