Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Mission Engineering Analyst to develop advanced, multi-domain simulations using AFSIM. You will work with SMEs and software teams to model space, air, maritime, and ground systems and validate results that inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience (or Master’s with 6+).
• 4+ years of modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at the mission/campaign level (DoD).
• Expertise in modeling military systems in multiple domains; Agile DevSecOps familiarity.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems of systems and software using AFSIM for decision support.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and conduct evaluation and validation.
• Apply Object‑Oriented Programming to maximize M&S scalability and extensibility.
• Analyze simulation results and communicate system effectiveness to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts to maximize Operational Analysis productivity.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Document model development processes and best practices for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest advances in AFSIM capabilities.
• Assist in creating technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
