Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field; 12+ years of prior relevant experience is a variant.
• 7+ years of modeling, simulation, and analysis experience, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at the mission/campaign level in DoD programs.
• Expertise in modeling military systems and behaviors across multiple domains.
• Familiarity with Agile DevSecOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems and software in mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and validate them.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming to maximize scalability and extensibility.
• Analyze simulation results to communicate effectiveness to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and analysts across Leidos and defense sector.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Document development processes, results, and best practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field

Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field

7+ years of experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis

Proficiency in Python, MATLAB

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Familiarity with Agile DevSecOps practices
