Job summary

Leidos seeks a Principal Mission Engineering Analyst to develop advanced models in the AF SIM framework and analyze multi-domain simulations for defense programs. You will work with SMEs and engineers to deliver high-fidelity mission scenarios and integrate Leidos software within the AF SIM environment.

You will lead modeling efforts across space, air, maritime, and ground domains, applying object-oriented design and rigorous validation to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field; 12+ years experience, or Masters with 10+ years.
• 7+ years in modeling, simulation, and analysis; preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at mission/campaign level; DoD program experience.
• US citizenship with a Top Secret clearance; SCI eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems in mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems.
• Apply OO programming to maximize M&S scalability and extensibility.
• Analyze simulation results and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts across Leidos.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Document development processes and results for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest AF SIM capabilities.
