Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Mission Engineering Analyst in the Defense Sector Office of Technology. The role focuses on developing complex multi-domain simulations using AFSIM, integrating Leidos software, and delivering actionable analysis for mission and campaign level operations.

You will collaborate with technical leaders, reviewers, and SMEs across the Defense Sector, and contribute to innovative solutions while working in a fast-paced, modern environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience
• 7+ years of experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis (preferably with AFSIM)
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB
• Deep understanding of military operations at mission/campaign level (DoD programs)
• Experience with Agile DevSecOps practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication with stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• US citizenship with Top Secret clearance; SCI eligibility
• Willingness to work 50% in-office at San Diego or other specified locations

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems and mission-level simulations using AFSIM
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and validate them
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming to maximize M&S scalability
• Analyze simulation results to communicate system effectiveness
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts across Leidos
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards
• Document development processes and findings for knowledge sharing
• Stay updated with advancements in AFSIM capabilities
• Prepare technical docs and presentations for stakeholders
