Job summary

Redpath USA Corporation is seeking a Master Mechanic to lead underground and surface mechanical teams in maintenance and repair of mining equipment, including diesel, hydraulic, electric, and powertrain systems. You will ensure work quality and safety, supervise diagnostics and rebuilds, schedule tasks, mentor staff, and verify tooling and spare inventories across shifts.

Qualifications

Documented maintenance experience in mining equipment (10 years).
Minimum 5 years experience in underground mining.
5 years management, supervisory and training experience.
Full working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Strong leadership, managerial, training and communication skills.
Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
Proficient in the use of computers and related software.
Ability to read and understand equipment drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Manages preventative maintenance, general/major maintenance and repairs, diagnostics, inspection, disassembly/assembly, etc., ensuring work follows safety and company specifications.
Performs advanced maintenance, technical and diagnostic tasks.
Assigns, schedules, and supervises work, ensuring maintenance is carried out per schedule.
Responsible for hiring, evaluation, mentoring, training, and disciplinary actions for supervised staff.
Ensure workers are qualified and capable of safely performing assigned work.
Communicates with cross-shifts to coordinate work and maintain logs.
