Job summary

Redpath is seeking a Master Mechanic to supervise underground and surface mechanical teams, performing maintenance, diagnostics, rebuilds, and assembly on mining equipment including jumbo drills, haul trucks and bolters.

You will ensure safety, schedule work, mentor staff, and coordinate with project management while meeting regulatory and company standards. This role requires extensive experience in heavy equipment, leadership, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Documented 10+ years in mechanical maintenance of mining equipment.
• Experience in underground mining environments is required.
• Strong leadership and ability to train and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventative maintenance and repairs in compliance with safety rules.
• Assign, schedule, and monitor work; ensure maintenance per plan.
• Hire, evaluate, mentor, and discipline supervised staff.
• Ensure workers are qualified and safe to perform tasks.
• Coordinate with cross-shifts and departments for continuity.
