Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanic to perform quality maintenance, diagnostics, disassembly/assembly, and rebuilding of diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems on jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, loaders, dozers, and related mining equipment.

The role includes supervising and mentoring other mechanics, ensuring safety compliance, and completing maintenance per schedule. Requires extensive heavy equipment experience, underground mining exposure, and strong leadership

Qualifications

Seven years of documented maintenance experience in heavy mining equipment.
Minimum two years underground mining experience.
Two years of supervisory and training experience preferred.
Full working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Strong organization, time management, and leadership skills.
Must possess valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Proficient with computers and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using service manuals and electrical/hydraulic references.
Perform preventative and major maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and inspections.
Test repaired equipment to ensure manufacturers' specifications are met.
Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and service trucks safely.
Document detailed repair estimates including parts and labor.
Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced mechanics.
Ensure safety procedures, daily operations, and maintenance schedules are followed.
