Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanic to perform quality maintenance, diagnostics, and rebuilds on diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air-operated mining equipment.

You will oversee mechanics, provide training, and ensure safety standards are met while maintaining critical mobile assets underground. The role requires extensive hands-on expertise with haul trucks, jumbo drills, and related equipment, plus strong leadership and documentation skills for maintenance planning and safety

Qualifications

• Documented maintenance experience in heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, jumbo drills, dozers, hydraulic shovels, etc.
• Minimum 2 years underground mining experience.
• Prefer 2 years supervisory/training experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using service manuals and manuals.
• Perform preventative and major maintenance and repairs according to Work Orders.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure manufacturer specifications.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and service trucks as needed.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates including parts and labor.
