Job summary

Redpath is seeking a Lead Mechanic to perform quality maintenance and diagnostics on diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems in mining equipment. You will supervise and mentor other mechanics, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, PM, major repairs, and documenting estimates, with exposure to underground mining environments and shift work.

Qualifications

• 7 years documented maintenance experience in heavy mining equipment.
• Minimum 2 years underground mining experience.
• Supervisory and training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals and schematics.
• Perform preventative, major maintenance and repairs to mining equipment.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specs.
• Order parts and complete necessary paperwork.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced mechanics.
