Job summary

Redpath Mining in the United States (Alaska) seeks a Lead Mechanic to supervise and mentor a team of mechanics in diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems for mining equipment. You will diagnose and repair jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, loaders, and dozers, while ensuring safety and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• High School, GED, and/or higher education.
• Recognized trade certificate, in the maintenance or repair field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals and schematics.
• Perform preventative and general/major maintenance and repairs per Work Orders.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure performance meets manufacturer specs.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and service trucks safely.
• Order parts accurately and complete necessary paperwork.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced mechanics.
