Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. seeks a journey-level Mechanic to perform quality and preventative maintenance on diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air-operated mining equipment, including jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, and loaders.

The role requires diagnosing and rebuilding components, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in underground environments. The ideal candidate has 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, at least 2 years in underground mining, and strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• High School or GED or higher education.
• Recognized trade certificate in maintenance or repair preferred.
• 5 years documented maintenance experience on heavy mining equipment.
• Minimum 2 years experience in underground mining.
• Proficient with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using service manuals, parts books, electrical and hydraulic manuals.
• Perform preventative and major maintenance and repairs, diagnostics, inspection, disassembly/assembly per Work Orders.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and manufacturer specifications.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and service trucks safely.
• Order parts and complete maintenance paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to safety directives and maintain clean, safe work areas.
