Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking a journey-level Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems in mining equipment including jumbo drills and haul trucks.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of equipment in underground environments. The role requires reading manuals and schematics, welding and cutting abilities, and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED; trade certificate preferred.
• Experience with heavy mining equipment maintenance.
• Underground mining experience preferred; 2+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals and schematics.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs per Work Orders.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure manufacturer specifications.
• Operate various equipment (forklifts, aerial lifts, service trucks).
• Order parts and complete required paperwork.
