Job summary

HDR is seeking a Military Planning Project Manager to oversee multi-facility planning efforts for DoD/DoW clients. You will manage diverse teams, drive workshops, and ensure deliverables meet contract requirements across milestones and budgets.

Preferred candidates hold DoD-related certifications and are willing to travel internationally; strong leadership and collaboration are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams of military planners, analysts, production coordinators, editors, GIS / CAD specialists and other disciplines.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and train staff in course of their work and for future needs.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops and charrettes with stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Prepare and conduct in-briefs and out-briefs with leadership to support milestones and closeout meetings.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to align deliverables with client contracts and guidance.
• Manage the financial status of projects and coordinate with leadership on corrective actions.
• Conduct progress reviews with client project managers and senior stakeholders to discuss updates.
• Collaborate with Operations and other PMs to manage personnel and deliverables.
• Prepare fee proposals and narratives; assess risks and negotiate with clients on fee and budget.
• Assist with client development plans and business development activities to secure new work.
