Job summary

HDR is seeking a Military Planning Project Manager to oversee multi-facility planning projects from pursuit to cost proposal through completion for DoD/DoW clients. Responsibilities include leading diverse teams, coordinating workshops, managing budgets, delivering high-quality reports, and driving new business development.

Your background should include DoD/DoW project experience, strong leadership, excellent communication, and willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• 7 years related experience.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams of military planners, analysts, production coordinators, editors, GIS/CAD specialists and other disciplines as required.
• Supervise, mentor, and train team members for current and future market needs.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops/charrettes with stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Conduct in-briefs/out-briefs with leadership to support site visits and milestones.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure deliverables meet client contracts and standards.
• Manage project financials and lead internal reviews with leadership.
• Lead progress reviews with client project managers and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Operations and other PMs to manage personnel and deliverables.
• Prepare fee proposals and technical narratives; assess risks and negotiate on fee and budget.
• Contribute to client development plans and marketing activities to secure new work.
