Job summary

HDR is seeking a Military Planning Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive project milestones in a dynamic environment. You will coordinate planners, editors, GIS/CAD specialists, and engineers to deliver high-quality results for defense-related initiatives.

Responsibilities include workshops, briefings, risk management, and financial oversight, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across Operations and client teams. A DoD/DoW background and travel are assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage teams of planners, analysts, production coordinators, editors, GIS/CAD specialists, and other disciplines.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and train staff for current and future needs.
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops and charrettes with stakeholders.
  • Conduct briefings with leadership for site visits and milestones.
  • Perform QA/QC to meet contract scopes and industry standards.
  • Manage project finances and conduct internal reviews with leadership.
  • Lead progress meetings with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Operations to manage personnel and deliverables.
  • Prepare fee proposals and technical narratives; assess risks and mitigate.
  • Support business development activities to secure new work.
