Job summary

HDR is seeking a Military Planning Project Manager to lead multi-facility planning efforts for DoD/DoW clients, from pursuit to delivery. You will manage cross-disciplinary teams, drive workshops, ensure on-time, on-budget results, and deliver high-quality documents in line with agency guidance.

Responsibilities include staff coaching, QA/QC, fee development, and risk management, with opportunities to advance both technical and leadership skills in a dynamic, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 7 years related experience.
• 2 years project management experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance and U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams of military planners, analysts, editors, GIS/CAD specialists and other engineering disciplines.
• Coach, mentor, and train staff for project needs and market trends.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops and charrettes with stakeholders.
• Conduct in-briefs/out-briefs with leadership on milestones and site visits.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to align deliverables with contract scopes and policies.
• Manage financial status of projects and conduct internal reviews with leadership.
• Coordinate progress with client PMs, COs, and senior stakeholders.
• Develop fee proposals and technical narratives; assess risks and mitigation with clients.
• Assist with client development plans and marketing to secure new work.
