Jabil is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for LV switchgear in Prince George, Virginia. You will own mechanical architecture, drive production release, and ensure compliance with UL, IEC, and NEMA standards while coordinating with global teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, strong CAD skills (Creo/SolidWorks/In Inventor), and a track record of leading complex NPI programs from concept through production.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5+ years in LV switchgear or power distribution products.
• Technical leadership on NPI programs from concept to production release.

Aufgaben

• Own the mechanical design and architecture of LV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Lead enclosure systems, busbar supports, insulation interfaces, and safety features.
• Lead thermal design, CFD modeling, and thermal validation testing.
• Drive DFx initiatives and design for manufacturability across global sites.
• Oversee design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and engineering change control.
• Ensure compliance with UL 891/1558, NEC, IEC 61439, NEMA, and related standards.
• Interface with customers during reviews and issue resolution.
