Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for Low Voltage switchgear in Prince George, Virginia. The role leads mechanical design, validation, and production release, ensuring cost, quality, and manufacturability targets are met.

Collaboration with global teams, DFx initiatives, and customer interfaces are key aspects of the position. The role requires strong CAD, thermal, and structural analysis skills, plus knowledge of UL/IEC standards and Windchill PLM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5+ years in low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, or power distribution products.
• Strong technical leadership on mechanical engineering execution for NPI programs from concept through production release.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design and architecture of LV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and deliverables.
• Lead enclosure architecture, cable routing concepts, and serviceability requirements.
