Job summary

RTX's Tactical Radars team in Woburn, MA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer Deputy Change Control Board Chairperson to lead engineering reviews of Technical Data Packages and support configuration control activities on complex hardware.

This onsite role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years), knowledge of GD&T, 3D CAD, and the ability to obtain the interim and final DoD security clearance. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience creating, reviewing, and interpreting technical documentation for hardware/tooling.
• Experience with mechanical design, manufacturing, tooling, or related areas.
• Experience reviewing Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning on engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Engineer and CCB Chairperson in ensuring changes to Technical Data Packages are reviewed with rigor.
• Ensure Configuration Control Board activities comply with customer and company requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality to document changes to engineering drawings per standards and expectations.
• Assist in coordinating virtual reviews and maintaining essential reviewer/approver lists.
• Maintain weekly logs of TDP changes and releases.
• Ensure proper linking of PDM/metedata and validate changes with peer reviews as needed.
• Mentor engineers on releases and changes to Technical Data Packages.
• Research applicable standards and processes for given situations.
