Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our defense systems team in the United States. You will lead mechanical design efforts for radar and electronics packaging, contribute to design reviews, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, with CREO CAD expertise, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Domestic and international collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with technical documentation for hardware tooling and production.
• Mechanical design, development, and tooling processes experience.
• Experience creating, releasing, or updating engineering drawings in 3D CAD.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative technical solutions across the product lifecycle for radars, support equipment and electronics.
• Perform tolerance analyses to ensure form, fit, and function.
• Lead small teams in ruggedized structures, interconnects, cooling, electronics packaging and tooling.
• Provide support for product integration in domestic and international factories and supplier locations.
