Job summary

RTX’s Marlborough, MA site seeks a Principal Systems Engineer for Naval Radar programs. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, drive performance, and develop test plans across hardware, software, and networked systems.

You will troubleshoot issues, use MATLAB, Python, and C/C++, and apply modeling and simulation to verify requirements. Travel up to 10% to support missions and customer sites at RTX facilities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and eight or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience integrating military systems in software, hardware, requirements, or test.
• Experience with DoD-grade engineering tools and documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Performance: Lead a team to collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
• Testing: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
• Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
• Modeling and Simulation: Use modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
• Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
• Collaborate: Work with customers and multi-disciplinary internal teams to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
• Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership.
• Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance.
• Requirements Development: Break down and track specifications across complex architectures.
• Support Missions: Travel up to 10% for mission execution at various locations.
