Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced CAD/Design Engineer to contribute to the Lunar Permanence program. You will develop design layouts, release data, and support cross‑functional teams in structural design and part detail work for spacecraft components.

Requires 4+ years in aerospace or similar, proficiency in Creo/Windchill, and a strong grasp of GD&T. Collaboration, detail‑oriented and capable of working with large assemblies are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design as a minimum.
• 4+ years in aerospace development or similar industry.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill for drawings and data release.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerances.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons.
• Experience designing spacecraft primary/secondary structures and mounting hardware.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail parts and assembly drawings/MBDs, and release data using CAD/PLM tools.
• Review engineering drawings to ensure alignment with specs and standards.
• Support engineering teams with mechanical layout and detail design for parts/assemblies.
• Apply company design and drafting methods to plan and maintain engineering datasets.
• Implement standard methodologies to balance cost, schedule and performance.
